From go kart racing to the party circuit and volunteering, Turn fosters team collaboration and activities that give back to the community.
This December, Turn launched its holiday party circuit with festivities across the country. Locations included Redwood City, CA, Chicago, IL and New York, NY.
Our Chicago team kicked off our holiday parties this season at MK, one of Chicago’s swanky restaurants. The Chicago-based team and their guests, along with Turn’s CEO Bill Demas and Chief Revenue Officer Tim Mahlman were treated to culinary master Michael Kornick.
Following the celebration in Chicago, the New York office partied Hollywood style at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. More than thirty people kicked off the holiday season, enjoying every minute of the open bar and exquisite menu selection.
Next, Turn took its party circuit to Redwood City and in honor of the season of giving, business was shut down the day of the party (except for a limited skeleton crew). Instead of work, employees were encouraged to volunteer at a local charity. The Redwood City- based employees chose from four local charities that best aligned with their interests. After a rewarding day of volunteering, we ran home to gussy up for the holiday festivities (casino theme!) hosted at The San Mateo County Historical Museum (if you haven’t visited lately, you must check it out!). Employees shared their stories about giving back to local organizations, enjoyed fabulous food and participated in casino gambling activities. It was a magically wonderful day and night.
Following the holiday party, Turn’s engineering team participated in an afternoon filled with go kart racing. There were quite a few challenges between colleagues and somehow it’s still unclear who won the race…
