REDWOOD CITY, Calif., – October 17, 2012 – Turn today launched its Asia Pacific (APAC) operations with the announcement of:
- The opening of the company’s APAC regional headquarters in Hong Kong;
- The company’s fifth datacenter to ensure the platform’s scale, performance and service levels are maintained as business demand increases;
- Appointment of Cindy Deng to the role of managing director, APAC;
- Appointment of Bernard Chan as an advisor;
- A new customer, iClick Interactive, a performance advertising agency; and
- An agreement with Emerge Digital to provide APAC-specific inventory.

Serving as the managing director of APAC, Cindy Deng will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations and long-term growth strategy for Turn in the region. Deng joins Turn from Yahoo!, where she was senior director of advertising sales and marketplaces for APAC. In this role, she developed the region’s advertiser, publisher, and product strategies and drove end-to-end go-to-market plans

Turn also announced a new relationship with Emerge Digital to provide APAC-specific inventory within its platform. Overall, Turn will provide its APAC customers with access to 17 inventory and 6 data services at launch.

Turn also opened its fifth datacenter, located in Hong Kong. The new colocation was built to ensure that customers in this region will experience the same performance and scale that customers have been accustomed to from Turn in other regions of the world. Colocation and datacenter services will be provided by Telstra.

Also today, Turn named Bernard Chan, co-founder of Koi Creations and former regional director at Yahoo!, as an advisor. Prior to founding Koi, he was regional director of network and platform at Yahoo! where he managed their display advertising network and exchange businesses in Asia.
