Bill brings more than two decades of technology and media expertise to Turn, with a proven track record for successfully launching disruptive technologies, resulting in the development of new hypergrowth markets.
Before joining Turn in 2007, Bill was president and CEO of MokaFive, a next generation desktop virtualisation start-up. Previously, he served as a senior vice president at Overture and helped close and expand strategic partnerships with Yahoo, Microsoft and other well-known internet companies, contributing to revenues of $1 billion and ultimately the company’s acquisition by Yahoo in late 2003. Following the acquisition, Bill served as senior vice president and general manager of the Yahoo Publisher Network Group, where he built new business lines and doubled revenue over a three year period.
Prior to Overture, he was executive vice president of product development and marketing for Vividence Corporation (acquired by Keynote) and held senior consumer product and enterprise business roles at Microsoft.
Bill frequently serves as an industry expert source and speaker at notable advertising and financial events, including ad:tech, iMedia Summits, ThinkEquity Think Tomorrow, Jefferies Media & Telecom Conference and Forrester Marketing conference.
He holds an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School and a B.A. in Computer Science and Organization Behavior and Management from Brown University.
