Publisher Requirements

The Turn Network is intended for quality publishers and advertisers. As such, both are required to meet strict standards in order to participate in the market. Please review our advertiser editorial standards to learn how Turn is working to protect your brand.

Publishers participating in the Turn Network must meet the following requirements:

Ad Code Deployment

The Turn ad code may only be placed:

  • on user-accessible pages within your website displayed within a user-invoked browser;
  • in locations that will display the complete ad in the size and format specified by Turn for the ad code;
  • in its original form without modification;
  • other than specified above, it may not be placed in any location such as in e-mail messages, pop-up or pop-unders, or other similar locations;


Content Standards

All websites and content displaying ads served by Turn shall not contain or display any direct links to:

  • content promoting or advertising alcohol, tobacco or illegal substances;
  • sex, pornography, or adult-oriented content;
  • violence, expletives or inappropriate language;
  • content or services promoting unlawful conduct, racism, hatred, fraud, or unlicensed investment advice;
  • content or functionality promoting or providing unsolicited e-mail ("spam") or copyright infringement, or that violates the intellectual property rights or personal rights of others;
  • content that is libelous, defamatory, or contrary to public policy;
  • other content or functionality deemed inappropriate by Turn in its sole discretion.


Prohibited Activities

You, or any companies affiliated with you, will not engage in any of the following prohibited activities:

  • the use of invisible, fraudulent, automated or otherwise invalid methods to generate impressions, clicks, or transactions that are not initiated by the affirmative action of the end-user;
  • the disruption, interception, or redirection of any links from the ads displayed on your website.

Submitting inventory to the Turn Network is a simple three-step process: apply, set your controls and deploy the ad code.

    What types of publishers are we looking for? The Turn Network serves quality publishers that typically generate at least 100,000 ad impressions per month. Just as important, we're looking for premium sites, regardless of size, to bring quality audiences to Turn advertisers. So, if you think your site can deliver on that promise and it meets our publisher requirements, we'd like to hear from you.

    As part of the application process, the Turn account management team will review your inventory and revenue objectives to insure that they are consistent with our advertisers' needs.

    Who knows your audience better than you? No one. The Turn web-based publisher console gives you control over which advertisers, ad types, and ads are delivered to your website. View the publisher console.
  • Place the Turn ad code on your web pages

    What tools do you need to get started? The Turn publisher console is all you need, and we make it easy to begin generating ad calls in a matter of minutes. View the publisher console.

Payment Timing

Once your website is participating in the Turn Network, we want you to quickly benefit from our revenue-sharing agreement. Which is why we don't make you wait until the advertisers pay us to receive your share of the revenue. Turn is committed to pay your agreed-upon share within thirty (30) days of the last day of the month in which ads were served.
