Editorial Standards for Advertisers

All ad creatives, offers, landing pages and websites shall not contain or display any direct links to:

  • content promoting or advertising gambling, or illegal substances;
  • sex, pornography, obscenity, or adult-oriented content;
  • content or services promoting unlawful conduct, racism, hatred, fraud, or unlicensed investment advice;
  • content or functionality promoting or providing unsolicited e-mail ("spam") or copyright infringement, or that violates the intellectual property rights or personal rights of others;
  • content that is libelous, defamatory, or contrary to public policy;
  • other content or functionality deemed inappropriate by Turn in its sole discretion.

Ad Formats

The Turn Smart Market supports commonly used IAB ad unit layouts and displays both graphical and text ad formats. By providing graphic ads in multiple layouts, an advertiser increases the number of publishers and web pages where Turn can display its campaign.

3rd Party Ad Servers

All advertisers can upload their ad creatives directly into the Turn self-serve console. Select advertisers and agencies may also provide a redirect to an approved 3rd party ad server for ad creative file hosting.

Action Tracking Compatibility with Atlas and Double Click

Within the Turn Smart Market, CPA and CPA goal campaigns require action tracking to measure a campaign's performance objectives. Turn's tracking beacon provides both click-through and view-through action tracking in real time.

Select advertisers may also use approved 3rd party ad servers for 'piggyback' action tracking. For advertisers using either Atlas or DoubleClick, Turn is UAT certified and DFA Floodlight compatible, respectively. Compatibility with these 3rd party ad servers means you get the full benefits of Turn action tracking without having to modify the advertiser's website or conversion page.
