Industry Leader Joins Turn to Drive Revenue Growth

Tacoda Veteran Joins Turn to Drive Revenue Growth

Redwood City, Calif.,—June 9, 2009—Turn Inc., the smart market for online advertising, today announced the appointment of Hugh McGoran as vice president of sales. Bringing more than a decade of interactive ad sales experience at companies including Tacoda and Real Cities, McGoran will manage a national sales team with an emphasis on driving market development, establishing new client and industry relationships, and bringing new solutions to market to continue driving Turn's rapid growth. McGoran will be based out of the company's midtown New York office.

McGoran's addition comes at the heels of remarkable growth for Turn. According to comScore, Turn's unique reach of U.S. users has grown more than 120 percent since April 2008 to 134 million users, outpacing the growth of all other ad networks. Launched in 2008, the Turn platform automatically blends audience, behavioral, contextual, and custom targeting methods to deliver exceptional performance and precision audiences to global agencies and premium advertisers. Turn's advanced technology, scalable platform, powerful analytics and superior customer service have helped the company secure leading clients in the automotive, travel, telecommunications, gaming, finance, and retail sectors.

"Hugh brings a strong combination of strategic planning, sales and go-to-market leadership skills that will enable us to continue our rapid growth," said Bill Demas, President and COO of Turn. "His experience as well as his talent for finding new ways to do business and implement new technologies makes him an important addition to the team. We are continuing to see rapid growth in our market share and are confident Hugh will play a key role in hitting our sales targets."

Involved in interactive marketing since 1995, McGoran is an industry veteran and has extensive experience growing successful sales organizations. He joins Turn from Peer39 where as the senior vice president of advertising sales he helped establish semantic targeting as a viable media option within the industry. Prior to Peer39, Hugh spent three years at Tacoda where he served as the vice president of eastern advertising sales and led the Tacoda sales integration into AOL's Platform A when the company was acquired in 2007.

Before Tacoda, Hugh spent nine years at Knight Ridder Digital with four years at Real Cities as vice president of advertising sales. Hugh came to Knight Ridder from Lorel Marketing where he served as the director of interactive advertising.

"I was attracted to Turn because of its revolutionary technology platform, rapid growth and radically higher quality standards," said McGoran. "Turn is the fastest growing ad platform according to comScore and an extremely progressive company. This combination delivers exceptional results for agencies and brand advertisers and makes Turn an exciting opportunity for me."
