Jim Barnett
Chairman
Jim co-founded Turn in 2004, bringing his extensive experience in online advertising and search to create a next-generation online advertising platform. From October 2004 until September 2009, Jim was CEO and Chairman of Turn and before that was President of Overture Search, a division of Overture Services, Inc. Jim joined Overture via its acquisition of AltaVista Company, where he was President and CEO. In this role, he led the company's highly successful turnaround and sale to Overture.

Jim was also President of MyFamily.com, the parent company of Ancestry.com, and President and CEO of ThirdAge Media, which was acquired by MyFamily.com. Prior to that, Jim was President and CEO of Infogrammes North America, a leading global publisher of video games and entertainment software. For five years, he was also Chairman, President and CEO of Accolade Inc, Infogrammes' predecessor company.
Jim has served on the boards of several public and private companies and was most recently Chairman of SideStep, Inc., the leading travel search engine. He is currently on the boards of Syndero Inc. and Sojern Inc. Jim received a bachelor's degree, MBA and J.D. from Stanford University.
Bill Demas
President and CEO
Bill Demas leads overall strategy and guides day-to-day operations at Turn. Prior to Turn, Bill was President and CEO of MokaFive, a next generation desktop virtualization start-up and was responsible for launching the company. Prior to MokaFive, Demas was senior vice president and general manager of the Yahoo Publisher Network Group (formerly Overture's Publisher Business and Solutions Group), building new business lines and leading it to rapid revenue growth. While at Overture, Demas was part of the executive team that helped guide the search advertising pioneer to revenues of $1 billion, leading to its acquisition by Yahoo in 2003.

Before Overture, Demas served as executive vice president of product development and marketing for Vividence Corporation (acquired by Keynote). Previously he held senior consumer product and enterprise business roles at Microsoft including its Encarta Encyclopedia and SQL Server groups. Demas began his career at IBM in technology sales. In addition to Turn, Demas serves on the board of directors of Advocates for Children (CASA of San Mateo County) and the advisory boards of DeviceVM and Digital Performance. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and bachelor's degrees in computer science and organization behavior & management from Brown University.
Steve Bird
Steve is a cofounder and General Partner of Focus Ventures. Steve focuses on investments in the enterprise software and electronic commerce areas. He has led successful investments in Broadbase (Kana), FrontBridge (Microsoft), Interwoven and ShoreTel. He has recently headed up investments in Entropic, MarkMonitor, Six Apart, Turn and VideoEgg.

Prior to cofounding Focus Ventures, Steve was a Managing Director at Comdisco Ventures where he provided debt and equity capital for emerging growth companies. Previously he was a General Partner at First Century Partners, a $100 million venture capital fund affiliated with Smith Barney. Successful investments at First Century and Comdisco included Aspect Development, Elantec, Summit Design Technology, SuperMac Technology, and US Web. Steve was a Manager at Bain & Company, a management consulting firm where he worked in the communications, software, and semiconductor industries. Steve began his career as a Senior Development Engineer working in software development at Battelle Northwest Laboratories.
Steve holds an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he graduated as an Arjay Miller Scholar, and MS and BS degrees, with distinction, in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University.
Jeffrey M. Crowe
Jeff is a General Partner at Norwest Venture Partners. He joined Norwest in 2004 and focuses on investments in software, Internet, and consumer arenas. He currently serves on the boards of deCarta, Evincii, Jigsaw, Lending Club, Nano-Tex, Tuvox, and Turn. Jeff is actively involved with Cast Iron Systems.

Prior to Norwest, Jeff served as President, COO and board member of DoveBid, Inc., a privately held business auction firm, which expanded during his tenure via internal growth and acquisition from a $10M revenue run rate to a $120M revenue run rate with 400 employees.
From 1990 to 1999, Jeff was co-founder, President, CEO and Board member of Edify Corporation, a venture backed enterprise software company focused on voice and internet e-commerce platforms and applications. Jeff was responsible for all strategic and operational activities at Edify as the company went from start-up in 1990 to $80M in revenue and 400 employees. Edify held its IPO in 1996 and was sold to S1 Corporation in 1999.
Previously, Jeff worked at ROLM Corporation, IBM and Siemens in marketing and general management. Jeff led the marketing for the voice messaging division within ROLM, which grew from startup to $50M in revenue.
Jeff is on the Management Board of the Stanford Graduate School of Business and is active in alumni affairs at Dartmouth. He is also chairman of the board of Hand in Hand Parenting, a non-profit organization focused on strengthening families, and is past chairman of the board of Theatreworks.
Jeff holds an MBA from Stanford Graduate School of Business, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar, and a BA in History, summa cum laude, from Dartmouth College.
Tod Francis
Tod is a co-founder and Managing Director at Shasta Ventures, focusing on consumer and business services. He has more than 20 years of experience working with marketing-driven companies. Prior to co-founding Shasta Ventures, Tod was a General Partner at Trinity Ventures for 10 years where he was involved with 16 technology-enabled companies serving the consumer and small business.

Previously, Tod spent 10 years in marketing and management positions including serving as a partner at Ram Group Marketing Management, and as a product manager at Johnson & Johnson on the Tylenol brand.
Tod received a bachelor's degree in economics from Northwestern University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
John H. Moragne
John is a co-founder of Trident Capital and has been a Managing Director since 1993. From 1989 to 1993, John was a Principal with Bain Capital, a leveraged buyout firm affiliated with Bain & Company. He was also a Principal of Information Partners Capital Fund, a private equity firm associated with Dun & Bradstreet Enterprises and Bain Capital. Earlier in his career, John was a management consultant with Bain & Company.
