Seasoned Veteran and Patent Holder Brings Additional Organizational, Client Services and Technology Expertise to Turn
Redwood City, Calif.,—August 6, 2009—Turn Inc., the smart platform for digital advertising, today announced it has hired Masroor Malik to fill the newly created role of vice president of business operations. In this capacity, Malik will oversee client services, ad operations, product operations, campaign management, analytics, and optimization, and will report directly to President and COO Bill Demas.

Malik comes to Turn by way of Efficient Frontier, where as an early member of the executive team he helped build and grow the company to profitability and leadership in the search engine marketing space. During his four-year tenure, Malik created and led the strategy, analytics, product operations and services organizations, and helped the company grow from having no revenue to managing several hundreds of millions in search advertising buys.
Malik most recently held senior and executive management positions at Yahoo! in the Advertising Marketplaces Group. At Yahoo!, he led strategy and operations in display advertising for key projects including the Newspaper Consortium and the Yahoo! Publisher Network.
Prior to Efficient Frontier, Malik was a technology executive at Yodlee during the early stages of its development. At Yodlee, Malik was instrumental in building the industry's largest and most reliable aggregation platform, successfully and efficiently integrating an acquired company into Yodlee, and scaling the company's engineering and operations functions. Malik holds a patent in data aggregation technology and processes that ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
Malik also spent several years in a variety of managerial and engineering roles at Amazon.com and Sybase. Mailk received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Loyola Marymount University.
