Big City Mountaineers Lead Teens

Throughout the month of February, the Turn Make a Difference program is helping Big City Mountaineers, a volunteer-driven nonprofit organization delivering transformative wilderness expeditions to more than 600 under-resourced urban youth annually, spread their message through the power of digital advertising. With programs in Denver, Chicago, Minneapolis, the Pacific Northwest, and the San Francisco Bay area, BCM works with community-based partner organizations and caring adult volunteers who act as mentors in the field. BCM's curriculum improves integrity, self-esteem, responsibility, decision-making abilities and communication skills. BCM results, measured by a nationally recognized tool, show that BCM programs improve kids’ lives with: - Increased likeliness to stay in school - Reduction in violence - Reduction in drug use To learn more about Big City Mountaineers, visit
